The key factors and features in Shakespeare’s plays included:

• Poetry and Rhymes

• His plays were performed very soon after being written.

• Couplet 2 lines rhyming pattern

• Audience wasn’t separated by a curtain and there wasn’t much scenery to set the screen.  The actors used dialogue or stage action could show a change of time or location.

• There were no women actors! Women roles were played by men.
